BOSTON, Mass. and STOCKHOLM, Sweden – January 22, 2014 – After delivering image processing software across all modalities for 30 successful years, ContextVision, has reached more than 150,000 system installations worldwide. ContextVision offers a powerful combination of technology and team expertise, with its market-leading products and a robust group of image-enhancement experts to customize all installations to optimize image quality.
At RSNA last month, ContextVision showcased its most recent innovation to thousands of show attendees.
The US PLUSView Family debuted four packages (women’s health, general imaging, cardiovascular and point of care) optimized for individual application areas that will provide medical professionals with enhanced diagnostic confidence. Elements of the packages include superior speckle reduction, edge enhancement, efficient line connectivity and higher grayscale contrast, enabling direct, focused enrichment of selected image features.
For ultrasound, The US PLUSView Family packages reflect a trend toward more image screening being done by users that don’t regularly use ultrasound equipment. This highlights the importance of excellent image quality.
GOPView Mammo2 offers outstanding visibility of subtle lesions in the parenchyma independent of breast density. This makes it easier for clinicians to quickly diagnose patients. The advanced imaging proves especially valuable in dense tissue with excellent contrast giving a sense of depth, promising more rapid and accurate diagnoses, and ultimately, a greater return-on-investment for medical imaging users worldwide. These latest updates will be most useful as the breast mass characteristics vary between ethnic groups and countries worldwide.
“We’re proud of our 30 years in business. For a software company, this is something very unique and a major achievement. We’re not only staying current with the changing industry, but we’re looking ahead to what’s next,” said Anita Tollstadius, ContextVision CEO.
While image enhancement is at the core of ContextVision’s work, the company is building out its research and development team to take a step beyond image enhancement in the coming years.
Tollstadius explained: “We’ve made several key hires in 2013 to build out our team and look to what’s next for the future of ContextVision’s products. The powerful combination of expertise, both technical and clinical, collaboration with our customers, plus a sophisticated modular product line keep us focused on delivering new and innovative products.”
